Student Policies - Student Responsibilities
The best conduct is expected of all students. Students guilty of misconduct will forfeit his or her membership in class and their enrollment status will be reviewed.
- Guns, knives or any other weapons are forbidden on campus. Possession of weapons will result in arrest and expulsion.
- All students are expected to attend class regularly and punctually. If students are absent, or must leave school for any reason, they must follow school policy and attendance procedures.
- California state law mandates that students may not bring radios, beepers or any other electronic devices to school. An object of this nature will be confiscated and a parent will be contacted to pick it up.
- Students are expected to throw trash away in appropriate trash can. Littering is unacceptable.
- Students are expected to behave in a respectful manner not only in the classroom, but also on campus outside of classrooms. Disrespect for another's race, ethnicity, religion or sex will not be condoned or tolerated.
- Physical altercations are forbidden, and those students involved will be suspended and possibly dismissed from school.
- Vandalism of any kind may result in arrest, suspension and/or dismissal from school.
- Students are expected to dress appropriately for school. The school�s dress code is applicable during the entire school year, including summer school. No hats are permitted unless they are Grant hats with the Grant logo.
- Students must carry their school ID card at all times, while in the campus of GHS.
- Possession, use or sale of drugs is forbidden on or near any school campus. Violators will be arrested and possibly expelled.
- Students may not possess or use alcohol or tobacco on any school campus or during any school event.
- Cheating and violation of the honor code is not acceptable and will result in disciplinary action.
