COVID updates to the Academic setting

Grant families,

We are excited to see students in person this school year. This year, Grant High School is planning for in-person learning. Students will be in class with their teachers and moving to their classrooms for in-person teaching. This year we have a new bell schedule and a new Quarter system. Please ensure that you access the Bell Schedule so that you are aware of these changes.
In addition, we also have a few procedures in place to support our return to campus. Students will be required to wear a mask while on campus. If you have questions regarding this, please see the LAUSD website for guidance on this mitigation factor. Students will also be required to take weekly COVID-19 PCR tests. These tests are offered for free on our campus. If you wish to test outside of the school setting, please know that you will need to upload these results to the dailypass.lausd.net website. Tests done on campus will be loaded to the site automatically. Test results are needed to create the daily pass that students will need to produce to access campus daily.
If you choose to have your student tested on campus, please ensure that we have a copy of parental consent for this to be done. Below you will find the form. You can fill out and print the form for your student to bring with them to campus for testing. If you do not have the ability to print, please email Mrs. Suess for some support on getting the document turned in (ees0792@lausd.net).
Students will continue to need to access Schoology and bring their Chromebook, or personal device, to school daily. Classes will be in person, with live teaching, however, work will be completed online, with online assignments. Students can bring notebooks and pens to school for their own personal use. But classwork and homework will be completed through Schoology. If your student needs support with Schoology access, please email Mrs. Suess (ees0792@lausd.net), or one of your student's teachers for support. Teacher emails are available through the staff pages (link on the home page across the header).

Parents, if you need help with the Parent Portal, you can reach out to Ms. Lourdes Roman (lir7987@lausd.net) OR Mrs. Erin Suess (ees0792@lausd.net). You can also call the main office (818) 756-2700. If you are a member of one of our Magnets on campus, CPDA or Humanitas, your Magnet Coordinator can also help you. CPDA, Andrea Caruso (alh7857@lausd.net) or use her google voice number to text or call (626) 790-8207. Humanitas, Alaina Kommer (amc8418@lausd.net).
