Grant Students Participate in CSUN's 19th Annual High School Art Invitational
Several students and faculty members are part of CSUN's 19th Annual High School Art Invitational.  This invitational exhibition showcases work made by students from nearly forty San Fernando Valley high schools.  Selected by members of each school's art faculty, the work employs a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, illustration, and photography.

Along with graphic design and animation teacher Aimee Dozois, the following students will have their art showcased: Gretta Goss, Isabella Smith, Marieta Ghantarchyan, Evgenia Galstyan, Joel Pallares, and Jessica Plotkin.  A reception will be held for the artists on Friday, January 29 at 7PM.

The Art Invitational is being held from January 11-30, 2016 in the main gallery at the In Art and Design Center on CSUN's campus.
Grant Students Perform at Kingdom Day Parade
Grant students, Sabrina Padilla, Henry Yanes, and Dianna Medina, participated in the Los Angeles' 31st Annual Kingdom Day Parade on January 18, 2016, to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  This year's parade theme was "Our Work is Not Yet Done."  Touted as one of the nation’s biggest celebration of the life and legacy of the slain civil rights leader, students practiced for 200 hours for the march on Martin Luther King. Jr. Blvd around the Dodger Stadium. Members of the City Council, Mayor Eric Garcetti, and Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck took part in the parade. Los Angeles Councilman Curren D. Price, Jr. served as grand marshal.  Sabrina and Dianna, both seniors at Grant, performed flag.  Henry, a junior at Grant, played the trumpet in the parade.  We are proud of our Grant Lancers!
