Grant student artists collaborate with student artists from the Buckley School.

On Saturday, December 1, 2018, a group of students from Grant High School and the Buckley School got together to paint a mural outside Grant Hall in one day! This was the culmination of a year and a half preparation for the mural. “Arts Bridging the Gap”, a non-profit organization dedicated to exposing youth to the arts, sponsored the project. Students from both Grant and Buckley met eight times last school year to decide the theme of the mural. This year, two students, Anait Arashanyan from Grant and Ark Liu from Buckley met twice to finalize and draw the plan for the mural. The Grant students that participated are:

Jennifer Albanes, Mari Aleksanyan, Anahit Arushanyan, Ruben Ayala, Angelina Bayatyan, Khachick Bayatyan, Tatev Bayatyan, Juan Becerra, Tiffany Elsey, Gabriella Guzman, Alma Hernandez, Zaineh Khalifeh, Miriam Lara, Andrea Manilla, Bernice Martinez, Daisy Mendoza, Artavazd Ovakimyan, Ashely Rosen, Evelyn Sambrano, Pilar Sims, Angie Torres, Elen Zakaryan, Andrew Zaragoza

A formal unveiling will take place in January.
