In October of 2016, all of our 12th grade Magnet students were treated to "The Hamlet Experience," presented by The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, a professional Shakespeare company. Our day consisted of an abridged live performance of the play as well as breakout workshops in stagecraft, elocution, close-reading, dance, and stage-combat, bringing the play "Hamlet" to life. The Botanicum's experts lead our students in workshops, using text, movement, directing, and teaching techniques to get our students on their feet, learning. Finally, all students reconvened in our auditorium and share what they learned by performing scenes in front of their enthusiastic peers and teachers.
