Course Description
The major purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of the nature of the physical
environment. Concepts relating to the earth sciences, chemistry, and physics are explored. The content is
to be a balance between these disciplines with the same rigor as courses in chemistry, the earth sciences,
and physics. Because each specific content area is not covered in the same depth as an entire course in
that discipline, this course is designed for students who wish to undertake a rigorous general study of the
physical sciences.
