Video Production 2 serves as a concentrator within the video production CTE pathway by blending film history and analysis with hands-on training and practice in single camera, digital video production. Over the next two quarters you will learn to think critically about the choices that visual storytellers make by carefully watching and writing about narrative films, and you will explore the expressive possibilities of digital media by completing a series of individual and team projects. By the end of the course, you will have acquired a common academic vocabulary around filmmaking and an understanding of film history and aesthetics; you will know how to make a movie; and you will be able to successfully collaborate with others, take risks, problem-solve, and learn from failure as well as success.
