*AICCU Campus Week:  March 8 - 25, 2021
 
The virtual AICCU Campus Weeks is an option for students to learn about the private, nonprofit colleges and universities located throughout California. The weeks will be March 8-25, one week for each of the following groups: first-time freshmen, California Community College transfer students, and Associate Degree for Transfer students. It is designed to be a forum in which colleges and universities can share information and guide students to resources.
 
*Adelante Mujer Latina (AML) Career Conference:  Saturday, April 24, 2021 - 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
 
For over 26 consecutive years, the Adelante Mujer Latina Career Conference (AML) has provided high school students in the San Fernando Valley an opportunity to learn about various professional careers—from Law, Entrepreneurship, Orthodontic, Education & Medicine among others—through the experiences of Latina professionals. AML also features a College & Resource Fair including local colleges and universities as well as community organizations.
*Upward Bound & STEM Upward Bound Program:  
Upward Bound is a FREE college prep program. You can take college classes and/or Get Ahead classes in the Summers at LAVC. You will work with an academic advisor that becomes your mentor and will assist you with career exploration, class selection recommendations, college applications, financial aid application, tutoring, SAT prep, field trips to college campuses, camping, theme parks, and will work alongside your college counselor for additional support.

*California Credit Union Scholarship:  

California Credit Union is pleased to announce our Annual Student Scholarship program is now available!   The credit union will award 10 students with a scholarship of $1,000 each.   High school seniors and community college students transferring to a four-year university who maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 are eligible to participate. Selection criteria include academic performance, school or community involvement, a letter of recommendation, and an essay submission.  Applications are available through Friday, March 26, 2021.   Interested students can find more information and apply online at ccu.com/scholarship2021.

*Cash For College Workshops:  

Beginning Jan. 12th, LA Cash for College has virtual workshops on financial aid for LAUSD high school students. Scholarships for Juniors/Seniors – Be sure to register & view a workshop, complete a workshop survey & become eligible to win a scholarship later this spring.

*Your Future LA: Beyond the Diploma is a free series of workshops for students, families and community members with a special focus on guidance for first-generation students navigating the college-going process. Sessions begin soon and run through October and November.
