Electronics Technology Certificate of Achievement  

What is it? 

This program, upon the completion of 5 college classes, will allow students to work on positions such as:  

Entry-level Electronics Technician; Electronics Assembler Technician; Electronics Supply Salesperson; and Test Technician Trainee  

Who is eligible? 

Current 10th going to 11th grade who will have completed and passed Algebra 2 and will commit to finishing the program. 


When will this class take place? 

This college class will be during period 1 of their high school schedule.   


Where will this take place? 

At Grant HS, no need to go anywhere else! 


Why should students join? 

When you complete this program, you will be able to get a PAID job!!!   

Careers associated with this program have a salary range from $22,000 to $179,000 with an average salary of $71,000.

Upward Bound is a FREE college prep program. You can take college classes and/or Get Ahead classes in the Summers at LAVC. You will work with an academic advisor that becomes your mentor and will assist you with career exploration, class selection recommendations, college applications, financial aid application, tutoring, SAT prep, field trips to college campuses, camping, theme parks, and will work alongside your college counselor for additional support.

*California Credit Union Scholarship:  

California Credit Union is pleased to announce our Annual Student Scholarship program is now available!   The credit union will award 10 students with a scholarship of $1,000 each.   High school seniors and community college students transferring to a four-year university who maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 are eligible to participate. Selection criteria include academic performance, school or community involvement, a letter of recommendation, and an essay submission.  Applications are available through Friday, March 26, 2021.   Interested students can find more information and apply online at ccu.com/scholarship2021.

Beginning Jan. 12th, LA Cash for College has virtual workshops on financial aid for LAUSD high school students. Scholarships for Juniors/Seniors – Be sure to register & view a workshop, complete a workshop survey & become eligible to win a scholarship later this spring.
